Through its multidimensional activities, FPAB during the 1990s has recruited about 2.5 million new acceptors of family planning. At present about one million fertile service beneficiaries are receiving family planning and MCH services from the Association. During the last decade around 200,000 youths and adolescents have been imparted reproductive health and population education through peer group of 1750 youth leaders. These youths and adolescents include in school, out of school and school drop outs. School students receive information on reproductive health, population, drug abuse, early marriage, gender discrimination and other relevant issues through debate competition. Sixty such competitions are held throughout the country every year. More than 700 students take part in these debate competitions and a huge number of students attend as listeners. This programme enhances their knowledge and develops rational values among them.

FPAB involved about 25,000 rural poor women in women empowerment activities including provision of small loan, skill training, reproductive health education and services over the years. Out of them about 15,000 have been provided loan and skill development training. They are now earning Taka 500 to 1000 per month which has strengthened their position in the family and the community. 75% of the beneficiaries are acceptors of family planning.
To neutralize negative attitude of religious leaders to FP, the Association has been organizing seminars for local level religions leaders. Experience of FPAB in this field is now being replicated in China, Thailand and India for involving Muslim religious leaders in reproductive health programme. FPAB is collaborating with 10 national and 15 locar level NGOs for providing reproductive health services side by side with their humanitarian and poverty alleviation
activities.
To develop sustainable reproductive health service providers at village level, FPAB is imparting capacity building training to community health promoters in phases. These trained service providers will provide health counseling and services in the community. FPAB is running a networking project with Grameen Bank. Health and family planning service and counseling are provided to the women of organized groups.

Reproductive health services are being provided through static and mobile clinics in the underserved outreach areas. To equip FPAB with skilled service providers and managers; human resource development training courses are organized. Staff members of different levels are imparted training on relevant issues. Orientation programmes are also organized for the volunteers to discuss about their roles and responsibilities.
